Dock Skipper Unveils New Site Design & Concepts
Over the last two weeks, we’ve been rolling out major improvements to Dock Skipper. Some visual improvements are obvious as we unveiled a new homepage layout & slight change to the color scheme. Other behind the scene changes are less noticeable but have a much larger impact on how we function as a company and website and we’re excited to introduce them!
For Sale Listings Now Available
A big request that we’ve received over the years is integration of listings that are looking for a permanent sale. We’re excited to announce that this feature is now available! When submitting a listing, owners will now have the ability to select whether they are searching for a tenant or new permanent owner. In either case, the owner can elect to allow short term rentals while they await a long term tenant or new permanent owner. Change your mind after submitting your listing? No problem. Easily change your listing type at any time.
New Listing Registration Terms
We’ve rolled out 6-month listing registration terms as an alternative to full 12-month listings. Our 6-month listings come in at a reduced rate and are a great option for owners who expect to find a long-term tenant or sell their property quickly. Our pricing model still makes the 12-month listings a better value and both are available during the registration process.
New Profile Design
We’ve rolled out some slight modifications to the listing profile design. Most prominently to the display of photos and maps. A much requested feature was allowing new listings without the requirement of photos. While we still highly encourage photos being added to a listing (it increases the likelihood of rental by 3x), they are no longer a requirement to get your listing live.
More Intuitive Search
We’ve made major enhancements to our search feature with even more changes on the way! Search is the key to ensuring our listings are found and we are continuously improving the functionality. We look at search from both a design & development standpoint to ensure it is as fast and easy to use as possible.
